Job Description

Financial Analyst IV

$26.00/hour

Project Management skills and coordinating with Federal and State auditors and City departments; gather, track support for disaster related audits conducted by the State, FEMA, OIG auditors; correspond with project managers, contract admin div. managers and assistant director in order to obtain an understanding of the project scope and procedures followed during field work; respond to audit questions by external auditors and State recovery officers regarding the documentation and project field work; analyze transactions while performing research regarding FEMA compliance and guidelines; continued status updates to finance.

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or a closely related field ; professional accounting, auditing experience. Ideally in the disaster area with CPA or CIA Certification a plus; knowledge of or experience in grants management & compliance monitoring; advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), VISIO a plus.  Work schedule will vary from week to week.

 

Licensed Vocational Nurse – Mobile for Hlth

$25.00/hour

Promote provider reminders, recall activities using IMMTRAC, conduct training and provide office on vaccines storage and handling.  Will perform other duties as assigned.

MUST BE LICENSED BY TEXAS BOARD OF NURSING.  Must obtain a valid Texas drivers license and comply with CoH Policy AP 2-2 regulations.  Will be driving own personal insured vehicle on this assignment, and MUST obtain a Texas DPS Motor Vehicle Record for review (purchase at your own expense).

 

Web Developer

Develop and maintain website projects for programs within HHD.  Should have good command of more than one programming language and skill with design using Adobe Master Suite.  Will perform other duties as necessary.

Senior Counselor – Mobile

$25.00/hour

Assist Veterans enrolled in the VD HCBSP.  Collaborate with staff from the Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC) who will refer candidates to the program for enrollment.  Work with staff to ensure Veterans spending plans are accurate.  Ability to effectively collaborate with staff from the VAMC system to ensure service delivery.  Conduct home visits with Veterans and their family members to complete assessments and enrollment into the program. Will perform other duties as assigned.

Must obtain a valid TX driver’s license and comply with COH policy AP 2-2 regulations.  Will be driving own personally insured vehicle on this assignment and obtain a motor vehicle record.  Must have clear MVR, clear background, and pass drug test.

 

Mechanic III (2 positions)

$20.73/hr

Performs body/unibody & frame repairs, e.g. modifications/fabrications & related services to types of vehicular equipment.  WELDS & BRAZES FERROUS & NON-FERROUS METALS; MIG WELDER ON ALL METALS & ALUMINUM; PLASTIC WELDER AND UNI-SPOTTER.  Uses all body repair tools including sanders, buffers, and door skin tools.   All phases of frame diagnosis & repairs using electronic measuring system, unibody & chassis dimension & spec charts.  Uses frame machine & floor system pulling towers, refurbishes units to like-new condition, paint vehicles with HVLP tech, do estimates, maintain industry quality control.

Must have a valid Texas drivers license – recent motor vehicle report required – compliance with COH policy on driving – must comply with  COH AP 2-2.  ASSOCIATES DEGREE IN AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGY OR CERTIFICATION/LICENSING IN AN AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM OR OVER 18 MONTHS (I.E. Performs body/frame repairs and modifications on all FMD vehicles and equipment fire apparatus.  Prep unit for paint. Refurbish equipment and return to like-new condition; decal/strip new units and make ready.  Supervise/train less skilled personnel and serve as lead mechanic in absence of shop manager.  Read electrical schematics, vehicle dimension manuals, unibody and chassis dimension spec charts; use manual and electronic frame measuring system; use all body shop related tools and equipment including pulling towers & frame machines.

REQUIRES a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Materials Management, Purchasing or a closely related field. Two years of professional or para-professional buying experience are REQUIRED.  Professional buying experience may substitute for the above education requirement on a year-for-year basis.

 

Certified Medical Assistant

$15.00/hour

Obtains and records height, weight and blood pressure of patients.  Collects and labels urine and blood samples.  Performs simple tests or sends specimens to laboratory for analysis.  Maintains records of all transactions.  Prepares examination rooms for patient treatment and uses Autoclave to sterilize equipment.  Verifies patient medical history and maintains records on patients’ diseases, operations, immunizations and other pertinent information.  Assists in inventorying, ordering and maintaining supplies and equipment.  Assists the physician, nurse practitioner or nurse as directed.

Requires a high school diploma or GED certificate.  Completion of Medical Assistant coursework is preferred.  Must have phlebotomy experience and experience in processing health records in ESP (Emergency Software Products).  Must have experience in immunization areas.  Must be bilingual English/Spanish and experience with electronic medical record.  No driving on this assignment.

 

Clinic Assistant

Clinic assistant will be giving immunizations every single day to kids, teens and adults, and communicate with clients and screen immunization records.  Will conduct data entry.  Will perform other duties as assigned.

MUST have immunization experience and strong vaccination administration background.  Must have basic computer skills.

 

Customer Service Clerk

Consistently apply all customer service skills, determine eligibility of WIC clients according to state and local WIC policy.  Performs anthropometrics, graphing data, and hematological test according to program policy and procedures.  Complete all segments of client records as indicated by policy.  Input client data in TXWIN system according to procedures and issues program benefits.  Maintain client record files.  Maintain program forms and office supplies.

Perform all activities according to program guidelines.  Properly handle and refer matters to the site manager if needed.  Will perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge in MS Word, Excel, Publisher, and Powerpoint.  Have great communication skills and provide great customer service.

Inventory Management Clerk – Reg Agency

Create online auctions, prepare vehicles for sale, issue items for customers, move inventory in warehouse, customer service.  Decals must be scraped from vehicles outdoors.  Inventory to be moved is large items such as furniture.  Must be able to work in uncomfortable conditions in warehouse and outdoors.

Microsoft Office, digital photography, basic internet skills.  MUST BE ABLE TO WORK OUTDOORS IN THE HOT WEATHER AND IN HOT WAREHOUSE.  Must pass criminal background check and drug test.

 

Mechanic Helper

Performs skilled mechanical duties in the maintenance of water or wastewater systems and facilities.  Preventative maintenance up to and including oil changes for process equipment.  Applicant is required to provide their own steel-toed footwear in addition to work clothing suitable for outdoor conditions.  The City may issue uniforms that must be returned.

Requires a high school diploma or GED certificate.  ONE YEAR OF EXPERIENCE AS A PLANT OPERATOR TRAINEE OR 18 MONTHS OF EXPERIENCE IN BUILDING OR MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE IS REQUIRED.  Preference will be given to individuals with previous utility experience.  One year of directly related college or vocational education may be substituted for up to a maximum of one year of work experience.

Collects water billings in the field and inspects, replaces and repairs meters and related equipment to ensure accurate readings and quality water service.  Collects on delinquent customer accounts, connects and disconnects service, and removes illegal connections.  Investigates customer complaints.

Requires a high school diploma or a GED.  Must have valid TX driver’s license and clear motor vehicle record (MVR).  ONE YEAR OF EXPERIENCE IN CONSTRUCTION MAINTENANCE AND UTILITY WORK IS REQUIRED.  Will drive COH vehicle on assignment.
